Yarn Care

Superwash yarns (these include our Soft Sock and Sparkle Sock bases): While superwash yarns can be machine washed and dried on delicate cycles, we recommend washing in lukewarm water with wool wash, being careful not to wring or agitate, and laying flat to dry. This helps prevent shrinking, felting, and pilling.

Non-superwash yarns (these include our DK, Sparkle DK, and Silk Mohair bases): Hand wash in lukewarm water with with wool wash, using very little agitation and lay flat to dry.

Block your items by putting the damp (almost dry) item on foam blocking mats and pinning it into place. Please allow the item to fully dry before removing for it to hold its shape.

Please note that while we do all we can to remove all the excess dye from the fibers there may still be a bit of bleeding on the first wash. This is especially true on bulkier yarns and darker yarns.

We will ship your yarn to you in either a hank or a skein in a protective package. Therefore in order to knit, crochet, or weave with your one of kind Native Fiber yarn, you will need to wind it until you are ready to use it. If you would like us to wind your yarn we will do so for an additional $3.00 fee. Just please add that option when checking out and we will be happy to take care of this for you.
